About Pet Adventures

Just like humans, a dog's mind must be kept active to be healthy and happy. Pet Adventures supply a service that does just that! Regular daytime activity provides mental and physical benefits keeping the dogs mind stimulated.

As well as keeping the animals happy it is very important that we have a good trusting relationship with the owners, reassuring that your pet will receive first class care in your absence.

Your dog will be returned to you happy, contented and ready for a nap. Our job is taken seriously, and the comfort of your dog whilst in transit is important. Therefore, no more than 6 dogs are taken on walks at any one time.

We offer a variety of services catering for, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, hamsters, rats, budgies etc. and also house sitting if you are a multiple pet household.

Pet Adventures have been Police vetted through Disclosure Scotland, Canine First Aid Certified, Fully Insured

About Janice

My name is Janice Shindler and I live in Clarkston with my family. Included in our large family are two dogs, one guinea pig and two chickens not to forget the tropical fish and my horse Brooke. As you can tell there is a lot of love for animals and pets in our family.

For as long as I can remember there have always been animals in my life so I have grown up knowing nothing else. Therefore, it made sense for me to start my own business caring for, and looking after, animals.

I know myself how difficult it can be to arrange for animals to be looked after in your absence, whether it’s due to work commitments, holidays, late in getting back home, hospital visits, transporting an animal to the vets etc.

I have also done voluntary work for the Labrador rescue Scotland in helping to foster and find forever homes for unwanted Labradors. Have a look at our Forever Homes page if you are interested in adopting a Labrador. They are truly wonderful dogs with great temperaments.

When me and my husband, Gerry, got our first home together one of our first priorities was to adopt a dog from the Cardonald Dog and Cat home. That’s when Jake came into our lives and made it a whole lot more fun. He was a border collie cross and an absolute delight to have around . His picture is shown on the memory page.

Therefore, when I had my 40th birthday party in the Clarkston Bowling Club, I decided to raise funds for the SSPCA . We had a great night and managed to raise £628.00 towards a great cause. Contact details for your local branch are on our Friends page.
